ACE and your company

Corporate Social Responsibility is a real buzzword in the business world at the moment and corporates are becoming more aware that customers look for a company that takes these responsibilities seriously.

Involvement with the ACE Centre is a great morale boost for your employees – they recognise that they work for a company that cares about the community in which they work and live, and have the opportunity to get involved in fundraising activities.

As a company there are many ways in which you can support the ACE Centre:

Company donations

A straightforward donation is an easy way to show your support and makes a real difference to the work we do here. With your agreement, we will mention your donation in our publicity material and website, raising your company profile amongst our supporters. You also have the opportunity to promote the donation internally, informing your employees of your generosity and letting them know that their contribution and hard work has enabled you to make this donation.

Charity of the Year

Adopting the ACE Centre as your charity of the year is a great way to focus your employees' fundraising efforts and create a massive morale boost. With our support and encouragement you can create a variety of events that your employees can become involved with throughout the year. We also offer a range of challenges such as the Great North Run or skydiving if your employees fancy taking part in something a bit out of the ordinary! You may even get some local media interest - local media are always looking for a quirky story!

Sponsorship

A great way for your company to show that they are supporting the ACE Centre is by putting your company name to a particular piece of equipment or to an event. The children we assess at the ACE Centre rely heavily on the loan library of equipment so that they can try out any recommended equipment before they purchase it themselves. It is vital that the loan library is kept up to date with the latest technology and we are constantly fundraising to bring in new and exciting things for the children to use. Your contribution will enable this vital library to continue.

We take part in a number of events throughout the year and we're always looking for company sponsorship. Events might include dragonboat races, auctions and golf days.

Payroll Giving

Payroll giving in a vital source of income for us as this regular funding is consistent, allowing us to plan our expenditure more clearly, maximising its impact. It allows us to spend funds on vital equipment for our loan library as well as investing in specific projects that concentrate on real areas of need.

Help raise the ACE Centre’s profile

Your support doesn’t have to be just a financial donation, being proud and loud about us makes a real difference too. We are a small charity and as a result we're not widely known. We want to reach as many children and their families as we can to ensure that they are aware of the vital support we can offer. By making your employees aware of us you are going a long way to helping us to do this. Very simple things such as putting ACE Centre posters up in your staffrooms and canteens, making your HR dept aware of payroll giving, inviting a member of ACE Centre staff to come and talk to your employees or agreeing for them to come and visit the centre to see where their support is making a real difference will expand our profile and increase awareness. Word of mouth is a powerful thing but requires very little from you.
