Giving a voice to children who struggle to communicate.

New Assistive Technology Association

The ACE Centre is a founder member of BATA, the British Assistive Technology Association, which was established in October 2009.

BATA lobbies for the rights and interests of those needing assistive technology. Its aims are:

  • to provide expert and impartial advice to government departments and agencies
  • to educate and inform widely on the benefits of AT
  • to promote British AT products and expertise at home and overseas
  • to provide services to its members.

ACE Centre Director Dr Ben Jabuni is also a Director of BATA. For information about the founding of the Association, see the merlinjohnonline website.

More details of the association, which is chaired by Inclusive Technology's Martin Littler, will be found at www.bataonline.org
